Brightheart is likely the darling of the warriors universe, and I personally have never yet heard of a person who doesn't like her. <3
Her breed is fairly easy to pinpoint; like her mother and sister, I took the easy way out and made her a Turkish Angora, albeit shorthaired, because that's how I've always seen her.
But can you see what I have done differently from the canon Brightheart? No? Well it is her base colour. Because with her parents in mind, this little lady adds to the long line of "impossible offspring in warriors". Yes, her ginger fur is an impossible result for Frostfur and Lionheart, since neither of them appear to carry any red themselves. And instead of making Frostfur a tortie, I decided to scrap completely the idea of red fur in the family line at all. Le gasp!
Instead, what you see here, is an 'amber' tabby - remember Lionheart's purebred design? Exactly~ This colour gene is amazing in that it can look both ginger and golden-brownish, depending on individuals and what base colour they truthfully are (black, cinnamon etc.) and Brightheart still gets to looks normal. xD
Her white spotting is a little more tricky to explain however. You might not have noticed, but my purebred Frostfur has some white flecks on her body (shows fairly little with her shading in mind), but the spotting gene is very hard to pin.
It works in this way; s/s - no white whatsoever.
S/s - from just three white hairs, to about 50% white coverage.
S/S - everything from about 50% spotting to looking completely white.
Brightheart's pattern here, which is close to a regular mask-and-mantle (coloured head and back w.tail) ranks around 50-60% white, but like I said, since the white gene is very tricky, this actually works with only having a single gene.
There, I think I've done my job trying to explain myself. xD
