Purebreds - Leafpool

Ahem... please don't kill me! xD

Without the title name I fear most of you people might suppose this to have been any other cat - or, well, any other than Leafpool, especially - but it is. And I shall endeavor to explain why she looks like this. 

I did mention earlier, that I would have to tweak her heavily in order to fit in with my project; I am, afterall, aiming to make them as gentically plausible as possible. So the first, most obvious issue, was that of her white chest and paws. From whence would she get those? Neither Firestar nor Sandstorm were ever mentioned with any white spotting (excepting Firestar's muzzle in his latest official artworks, but that is merely an effect of the tabby pattern, not 'white'-white) so sadly, the white flecks had to go. The next problem, was her self colour. Light brown, has been her description throughout the books. Well, y'know what, the only colour kittens a ginger couple can have, is ginger. No matter what other colour Leafpool also can have inherited, both her X chromosomes have the colour red, hence it's the only colour she can express. 
To make up for these drastic measures, I did try and make her a bit more of a washed-out ginger cat than most, and I've lightened both her muzzle and her chest as much as I felt was plausible to do - not proper white, no, but at least lighter than the rest of her. ^^

As for the simpler parts, she's the breed standard of an European Shorthair, inherited from her momma. 

I'm not telling anyone to accept this, but as far as my project goes, I had to stay true to genetics. The Erins' legacy when it comes to cat coat inheritance is really a headache to wrap your head about...
