Purebreds - Russetfur

Another day, another kitty~

Russetfur's among my favourite background characters in the books actually. Some of my friends have really wondered why, hell, even I know that she's a real snarky witch. But I suppose that's what I like about her. Stubborn, cranky, even borderline cruel, but at least her character was 'constant'. You know, no tendency for bipolarity, no sudden shift? Which happens so often to mains these days? xD

Anyway, let's move on to her design. It might not show, but Russetfur is rather stockier than many of the longhaired kitties I've done; and there's a reason for this. Afterall, I took the liberty of making her a Ragamuffin~ Mostly because I didn't want to further overuse the classic longhaired breeds, but also because the cute, cuddly breed name is such a contrast to Russetfur as a character, hehe. Her colours have stayed the same, but I cut up her ears a little and put some scars on her face - wouldn't be like her to be without, no? Oh, and if anyone's wondering what those white stripes on her leg are, those are white hairs; sometimes when there's an injury, the hair sacs come back white. I wanted to give her at least one body scar, but long coats tend to cover that stuff pretty well, so scarred hairs was my only way around it.

The only issue with Russetfur's genetics is one, and one only; Hal cannot be her father. She'd have to be tortie for that to work. So there~
