RE-designs compliant work. Some things overlap with WR, certainly, but this is a different universe. An... AU of an AU, so to speak.
Since I drew a bunch of the fankittens again, it began to annoy me a bit that all their fanfic appearances were from old squirrelxbramble stuffs, considering I've long since moved away from that shit. So, two days ago, bored out of my mind because my computer is yet to be fixed, I set down to rewrite one of my old ficlets.
Original: SquirrelBramble fic follow-up: A Great Day
There are a good few differences, if you can spot them, some certainly more obvious than others. x'D But remember, this is not connected with WR - while names and relations are mostly the same, this was something I made to work with RE (TTP challenge) so I changed a few things around simply because I could. It was interesting to see how things worked out with my small tweaks.
The time setting would place this at... little more than a year after TLH, just to clarify. ^^

I wasn't able to read this until now, but I just died un a happy way. Yes for Squirrelstar! A million times over! I really enjoyed this story. It was very sweet and cute.
I loved the interactions between Sandstorm, Flamekit and Plumekit. I also loved the moment between Sandstorm and Squirrelstar, it was so sweet. Oh and ShrewxSquirrel is always a win of course. It was sweet and you could actually tell they're a family. I also approve of a Tawnystar. She would've made a good leader and honestly should've been leader, or at least deputy, instead of Rowanclaw or Tigerheart. Honestly, I really don't get why the Erins didn't make her deputy instead of Tawnypelt. I would've liked to have seen that. Honestly, ShadowClan would've been stronger under her leadership, but hey let's just throw yet another tom there instead.
Is that RosexBumble hints I'm seeing? Even still RosepetalxBumblestripe is always a win. I'm disappointed to hear that Hazeltail still dead, but perhaps that's one of the AU things? Anyway, this was very sweet. Oh, and I loved Shrewpelt. Already proving himself to be a better father than Brambleclaw and he and Squirrelstar were quite cute together. Speaking of the-er,jerk himself, where's that guy? Dead? Best guess I have anyway.
